In Tikona Fort, Tikona is a Marathi word (local dialect) which means triangular. Tikona is easily identified with is the pyramidal shape in the hills near Pawna Dam near Lonavla in Pune district. This fort has many features of a fort in a very small area. Hence many people, especially trekkers, history enthusiasts visit it often. Since this fort is surrounded by many same height forts like Lohagad, Visapur & Tung, many people visit the quartet in 2 days.
This is an easy grade trek which is ideal for beginners and it gives the best exploration experience for history enthusiasts too. The fort offers various spectacular sighting with a lot to explore on the fort. One can visit this fort in any season.
